The following video was produced for current British Super Bantamweight Champion Scott Quigg. The filming was done over a couple of days down at Gallagher’s Gym and up Holcombe Hill. The project was a dream to work on as we are all massive boxing fans here at Rocknine Creative. During the project we got to witness some fantastic sparring and met some of the countries top professional boxers and trainers. The whole experience was great and we are hoping to produce many more videos like this in the near future.

Last week we had the brilliant opportunity of popping down to Gallagher’s Gym in Bolton to shoot a promo video for local lad and British Super-Bantamweight Champion, Scott Quigg. After spending the day making ourselves tired just watching him train, we’ve pulled the video together and it’s ready for launch this afternoon, so be sure to check back then.

There have been a number of poster designs that we have created recently for Hatton Promotions. The latest design we have done is for the Crolla v Mathews fight on the 21st April 2012 “Judgement Night”.

As with most of the boxing posters we design for the shows quite often the bouts, venues and fighters will change before it goes to print. Therefore we thought it would be nice to show you the original posters put forward for the first listing, followed by the actual event poster being used. It seems a shame the first two never made it to print but still we’d like to show them off to you as we really liked what we had originally come up with and who knows they may still go to print for another show.

A new home for Rocknine Creative.

This week has been our first major step in our aim of taking over the digital and graphic design world! As of last week we moved into our new office, the move did get delayed somewhat because of the adverse weather conditions (too busy sledging) but we finally managed to move all our gear in and are now happily setup and running!

Our new office is at The Gatehouse in Summerseat, Bury, Lancashire. The Gatehouse is a great place for us to move as not only is it still in our home town of Bury, but is a great space in a cracking location that is the perfect setting for us to keep them creative juices flowing. We can only see this being a great move for us as an agency and look forward to welcoming lots of existing and new clients to our new home.

Here is the latest poster design for Hatton Promotions and the new British Super Bantamweight champion Scott Quigg. We decided on a theme of “The Best of British” in a fight between Englands Scott Quigg and Welsh challenger Jamie Arthur. The title Best of British gave us plenty of creative freedom and it was nice to incorporate lots of different elements into the poster, our favourite being the roaring lions featured behind the two boxers!

With Scott being form our local town of Bury its always nice to create these posters for his shows, again the Rocknine Creative team wish Scott all the best in his next fight against Arthur and are confident that the champion will keep the title in Bury.

Yogurt Packaging Design.

As our logo says “we do creative” so when we were contacted by Bulls Food Products to come up with a packaging design for their new yogurt we where excited at the prospect of being involved. The brief was to come up with a design for a new Garlic Yogurt that was to be launched in all the major supermarkets in the UK.

Bulls Food Products has a great reputation for launching new food products. The Wild Garlic Yogurt itself is made up from wild garlic from Iran so when looking at the design we wanted to create something that not only stood off the shelves but something that gave it that Persian look and feel, this was created by use of the decorative pattern as the background and careful choice of colour scheme. We avoided all obvious choices of typography for the design and kept with something that we felt would look contemporary and fresh to the shopper.

The Rocknine Creative team has enjoyed working on this packaging design while at the same time enjoying the delicious flavours of this yogurt, definitely worth picking up a pot or two on your next shopping trip!

Big Art and Banners Website.

Here at Rocknine Creative we love nothing more than helping out other local Bury companies, which is why things worked out great on this project.

The website design represents what the Bury company is about through choice of type, colour and conceptual imagery. Once the designs where approved it was time to implement the shopping cart into the design. For the ecommerce part of the website we used Magento which is the leading shopping cart platform. This enables the guys over at Big Art and Banners to keep track of all online orders through extensive reporting tools. They can also update prices and products online as well as giving the facility for the end user to submit artwork online.

Overall the guys at Big Art and Banners are chuffed to bits with the outcome, as are we. For all your large format printing look no further than these guys, top people who do a quality job at a great price. It was nice for us to repay them with a great looking web design for all the great work they have done for Rocknine Creative.

Red Bar & Grill Website.

Red Bar & Grill is a stylish restaurant and cocktail bar in Westhoughton, Bolton. The new owner wanted a website design that represented this stylish restaurant. Here at Rocknine Creative we came up with a web design that encompasses everything that the restaurant has to offer. The site itself includes menus, galleries, online booking forms, upcoming events as well as integration with social media channels such as Twitter and Facebook.

Overall the client was extremely happy with the work carried out on the website, the site is fully search engine optimised and uses the WordPress platform so the client can update and change the site content as and when they please putting them in full control. This is a great looking website design for a top restaurant, which we hope to be dining in very soon.

Scott Quigg: King of the Castle.

Rocknine Creative’s latest poster design is for Scott Quigg the champion boxer from our home town of Bury. Having worked with Scott before we wanted to create a great looking poster for what could be his last performance at the Castle Leisure Centre before he moves on to fill bigger venues. Along with the poster we designed a huge 12ft x 6ft PVC banner which will displayed on the side of the Castle Leisure Centre to help promote the show, so look out for it if your in and around Bury!

The latest poster from Rocknine Creative, out of the retro design series created for Hatton Promotions. This latest show from Hatton Promotions features a great fight card that includes Martin Murray, Anthony Crolla and Joe Murray, plus more.

For this fight poster we took a different approach using a yellow and blue colour scheme with high contrast monotone images, the overall poster really stands out and both client and ourselves are happy with the final outcome and look forward to a cracking show. All the best to the Hatton fighters on the bill.

Elton Tyres approached Rocknine Creative to improve on their existing site and replace it with a more aesthetically pleasing site that delivered results. Elton Tyres wanted just a simple one-page website that portrayed professionalism and quality.

Elton Tyres aim to take on the ‘big boys’ providing Commercial, HGV, Plant tyres and motorway repairs therefore they needed a great looking website where the customer could feel confident contacting them to get the job done. The site is also backed by a strategic SEO plan to target local area searches. We are confident that this simple one page site can achieve this. It goes to show that even if you require a huge website or the simplest one page website then the same design and craft will be provided by the Rocknine Ceeative team as it does with every project. Deeside Boxing Poster.

The latest poster to come out of Rocknine Creative is for up and coming Welsh boxing sensation Tom Doran, as he headlines the show at the Deeside Arena in Wales. This was a great job to do as we had an open brief so we could really show off our creative flair and present Tom with a great looking poster!

The Rocknine Creative team wish tom the best of luck in his upcoming fight where he fights in an eliminator match for the light middleweight WBA international title.

Flexsys Group is a company that provides IT support, Network Soulutions, Cloud Hosting plus much more. Rocknine Creative was asked to redesign the existing website which was outdated and no longer portrayed the correct image of the Flexsys brand. The answer to the brief was a brand new site complete with rebrand, CMS system where admin can update everything from news to upcoming events as well as integration with their social media channels. This was backed by an email marketing campaign set up by ourselves, the relaunch has been a huge success and we hope the site continues to grow and keep delivering for Flexsys Group.

Rocknine Creative was asked to create a Double Page Spread to appear in the weekly magazine Boxing News. Photography was supplied by Mark David Robinson, the shots gave us a great starting point for the project. The brief was to come up with a design that showcased the fighters that are part of the Hatton stable.

We were more than happy with the outcome and so too was our client, below is the final advertisement that was featured in the centre spread of Boxing News. After spending a lot of time on web and digital projects recently it was great to see our print advert in the industries leading magazine.

Santino Restaurant is a new restaurant recently opened in Manchester, it is Italian fine dining at its best. Santino Restaurant required an identity different from that of the traditional Italian restaurant, Santino is a contemporary restaurant with black and white decor running through the restaurant so the identity, menu design and website needed to portray that same sophistication throughout the designs.

Rocknine Creative were asked to design two fight posters and VIP passes for Hatton Promotions. The brief was to use the Brand Hatton colours and to give the posters a retro/vintage look. Aspire Hair & Beauty came to Rocknine Creative to look at the branding when they first started the company 5 years ago. After an initial briefing with the client we were both singing from the same hymn sheet and the Aspire identity was born. The identity is clean, sophisticated and professional, all of which sits perfectly with their luxury salon based in Greenmount, Lancashire.

Rocknine Creative heard of a charity event taking place at Manchester’s Revolution bar, the event was to be packed with celebrities and included lots of fund raising events with all the proceeds going to the NSPCC. For such a good cause it would have been rude not to volunteer our services to help this great charity, we happily volunteered to design a poster, flyer and program for the event.
